Our History

Convivium was founded in 1996, operating in the fields of organizational and leadership development and coaching.

As a bilingual and bicultural Canadian firm, Convivium wanted to offer this work to the francophone community, not simply as translated text, but as a fully acculturated and complete set of work – program content, poetry, music, and all support functions. No small undertaking, but one fully embraced and supported by the francophone community of coaches who worked tirelessly to bring the program to vibrant life in French.

Thus, in 2008, we began teaching the programs of New Ventures West in French (Formation des coachs professionnels et Programme de coaching et de développement intégral), the first time these courses were offered in another linguistic and cultural space. In 2010 Convivium began to deliver these courses in Canada in English to complete the offer of New Ventures West courses in Canada. Part of our deep commitment to this work is building a vibrant, bilingual Canadian integral development coaching community that is also part of an international network through New Ventures West and the International Coach Federation (ICF). Taking this work into the rest of the French-speaking world is also a cherished intention. Plus, we are polishing our Spanish to take this work into Latin America in 2012.
